Accommodation

This year we will be staying at the Red Deer Holiday Village near Stepps, just outside Glasgow. We will have practices here and there is open space where we can march up and down. There are lots of accommodation options from basic pitching a tent to chalets and everything in between.

Uniform Hire

To hire a uniform please contact MacGregor MacDuff, 39-41 Bath Street in Glasgow - you can collect the uniform yourself and then return it on Sunday after the Worlds. If you don't have time to collect the uniform please contact Damian via Whattsapp on +41 79 609 7370. You will need to cover any uniform costs yourself.

Compensation

The following will be covered:-

- supply of drums
- snare & bass drum harnesses
- band entry into the competitions
- band pipe bag cover & black silk band chords
- band ties, badges, kilt pins, sporrans and socks - (navy blue for drummers and bottle green for pipers)

Whats not covered and will need to be a shared cost is
- transport to venues
- uniform hire, buy or bring your own (black watch kilt , black waistcoat, long sleeve white shirts, red flashes and Glen Garry Hat) - no jacket is required as we will play in waistcoat only.

Pipe Chanter

We will also supply The Shepherd MK3 Classic Chanter with reed (from Brian Lamond) and a reed protector - these will calibrated when you attend a band practice in Zug or perhaps in Scotland and kept for you until we meet in Glasgow on August 6th 2026  - you can also bring your own Shepherd MK3 to the workshop and we will supply a reed or if you wish to borrow the Band’s’ chanter to practice on please bring a deposit of €100 (Euros one note in cash) which will be returned to you on Saturday 15th August 2026 at the Worlds when you return the chanter and any other kit) - you can use your own chanter if you like - this can be a G1 chanter or the Shephers MK3 Classic :-)
