In 2025 we managed to improve the performance and the reputation of the band. To maintain this - all participants are asked to submit 2-3 minute audio video on YouTube of you playing your instrument - date stamped within the last 7 days - it can be a simple ¾ March - please email the link of your recording to pipemajor@scotchwatch.org. We will use this to decide if you are eligible to attend the workshop in February 2027.

For those who wish to play for the Scotch Watch you will be required to wear our uniform, The Scotch Watch will only lend you the Scotch Watch tie, kilt pin and cap badge. For pipers we will also lend you a Scotch Watch cover for your pipes. The rest, you must find yourself. You can hire or buy the whole uniform online from https://www.macgregorandmacduff.co.uk/ If you leave your hire your order with them - we can even collect it for you and drop it back in Glasgow for the Worlds. We wear the Black Watch Kilt.
